Our Community Representatives
The supreme body of the Institute responsible for oversight of its performance, electing the Chairperson, and members of the Board of Trustees, and comprising 30 members drawn from each of the six mahor communities of the Karo People.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is responsible for policy-making, reviewing and approving work plans and budgets, monitoring institutional performance, and appointing senior officials of the Secretariat.
- Chairperson: Responsible for leading the Board and making final decisions on major issues.
- Vice Chairperson: Assists the Chairperson and steps in when the Chairperson is unavailable
- Members: Diverse group of individuals representing various communities and bringing expertise to the table.
Secretariat
The Secretariat is tasked with carrying out the day-to-day activities of the Institute according to approved plans and budgets. It ensures the implementation of decisions made by the Board of Trustees and submits reports on progress.
- Executive Director: Oversees all Secretariat operations and reports directly to the Board.
- Departments: Various departments under the Secretariat handle administration, finance, research, and outreach.
- Staff: Highly skilled professionals working under the direction of the Executive Director.
